Palazzo Vella
Context
A 17th-century palazzo behind a quiet Valletta door. Vaulted ceilings, a courtyard that holds the evening light.
The door is heavy and unmarked. You find it because someone told you to. Inside, the noise of the street falls away and the light changes — warmer, lower, older. That is the feeling we were asked to put on a screen.
The problem
Its entire character lived offline — the website led with a booking widget and stock-blue water, and bookings leaked to the aggregators.
Approach
We designed the arrival — the site opens the door before the guest does.
Dark, slow, candlelit: the courtyard at dusk, the first glass poured.
Direct booking made the calm centre of the experience, not a bolted-on widget.

The arrival
A scroll-driven entrance that moves the visitor through the door, into the courtyard, and up to the harbour at night.
Result
Direct bookings recovered from OTAs.
Average rate held without discounting.
The property finally looks like the one-of-one it is.
